What you Should Know About COVID-19
Our top priority is to ensure our members have access to quality, affordable care as we actively monitor development of the coronavirus COVID-19. Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that cause diseases ranging from the common cold to more serious respiratory illnesses. Sometimes, coronaviruses in animals can evolve into new strain of coronavirus capable of causing disease in humans. This new virus has been named "SARS-CoV-2" and the disease it causes, "COVID-19".
Protect Yourself and Your Family Against COVID-19
Wash hands often with soap & water or clean with hand sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol.
Cover mouth & nose with the bend of your elbow when sneezing or coughing.
Stay home if sick and avoid public places and kissing or shaking hands when saying hello.

What Are the Most Common Symptoms for COVID-19?
If you have a fever, respiratory symptoms, and have traveled from Asia, Europe or the Middle East in the 14 days before symptom onset or were exposed to someone with COVID-19, please call seeking in-person medical attention at Excel Hospital or any other provider within the MediExcel Health Plan network.

Deciding between your primary care physician or an urgent care clinic

Questions about a current treatment
Clarifications on prescrioptions and/or side effects
Excel Hospital has deployed a respiratory triage area where all arriving patients are being screened for symptoms and recent travel to affected areas. Safety precautions to prevent the potential spread of infection and protect other patients include masking patients with symptoms and their caregivers, and isolation.

Through a partnership with Heal MediExcel members in select areas can scheduled on-demand house or office calls within a two-hour window, 7 days a week, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., for urgent care services such as:
